War Memorials

War Memorials serve as an intrinsic part of the Australian cultural ethos, and O’Sullivan Conservation is committed to ensuring their preservation for the benefit of future generations. We have extensive experience with a wide variety of memorial types, including monuments, guns, gates, sculptures, fountains, stoneworks, and honour boards. Condition assessment and treatment options may include condition assessments, installation/de-installation, transport, storage, cleaning, mould remediation, biological growth removal, paint repair, regrouting, repatination, or waxing, all conducted by our specialist-trained in-house conservators.

The NSW Government Office for Veterans Affairs provides grants to help repair, protect and conserve war memorials across NSW through the Community War Memorials Fund,

O’Sullivan Conservation is proud to assist with projects under this program. Read more about the details of a recently completed conservation treatment on the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club WWI & WWII Honour Boards featured on The Office for Veterans Affairs website,
