O’Sullivan Conservation has extensive experience conserving and relocating monuments of a variety of sizes, shapes, and materials, including gates, sculptures, fountains, and built heritage. Conservation assessments and treatments are all carefully tailored to the monument’s composition and display environment, as well as to the client’s needs. Depending on the nature and location of the monument, work may include condition assessment and reporting, cleaning, regrouting, waxing, paint repair, the removal of biological growth, the removal and reapplication of protective coatings, or the replacement of interpretive plaques. Work is always conducted with the view of extending the life of the monument in order to preserve it for the benefit of future generations.
