Disaster Response

In an era dominated by climate change, disaster preparedness is more important than ever. Particularly regarding objects of personal, cultural, or heritage value, it is imperative to be as ready as possible for the unexpected. Our conservators have over five decades’ experience in conservation assessment and treatment on two continents. With senior staff educated in managing under uncertainty, O’Sullivan Conservation has the knowledge and training required to enable the development of a disaster response plan for objects and collections. All plans are individually tailored to the needs of the object and client, as well as to the risks inherent in the surrounding location or environment. Furthermore, O’Sullivan Conservation possesses a large and secure workshop that is available for quick and efficient object relocation and storage in the event an emergency. We handle and transport your collection with care and professionalism, to minimise damage and reassure you that your objects are in safe hands.

O’Sullivan Conservation acknowledges that we operate and function on the lands of the Darkinjung people.

We respect and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on this land and commit to building a brighter future together.
